Kung Fu Movies Are Like No Other Action Films
Kung Fu Movies have been around for many years and they've changed a lot over that time. But they still offer the same great action that they have always done. For people who love adventure movies, this is a great genre to check out.
Many people think of any film that includes a lot of martial arts as a Kung Fu movie. This isn't strictly correct, though. There are lots of kinds of martial arts from everywhere in the world. Kung Fu, though, is a particular martial art that was developed in China.
Within this one large style, there are many smaller ones as well. The origin of this art is hidden in legends and a great number of these form the themes for many of the movies. However much truth they contain, there's no doubt that they provide the perfect themes for great cinema.
Many stars of these movies had been training since they were just children. For this reason, they'd already been featured in a great many films when still quite young. Some schools were developed for the sole purpose of training performers rather than being focused on training fighters.
Earlier films did not have what we consider to be great production values today. They were known for the actors flying across the screen and the wires for doing so are quite obvious. At the time, however, this did not take away from the appeal of the film.
Currently, you can find films that retain the feel that the older movies have but are made with larger, more Hollywood-style budgets. There is no longer a need to miss out on having a film that looks great in order to enjoy this particular style. Now, you can really enjoy the best of both these worlds.
The acting has gotten better in many of these films as well. This genre used to be known for its badly dubbed voices. Now, however, there are films that feature actors who are actually speaking in English. And, even when they are not, the voices used for the other language tracks are done much better than they once were.
Even so, there is something special about the older versions of these films. They aren't like any other type of action or fighting film. Not only do they typically include some type of legend, they also usually have some sort of moral as well. They often feature a triumph of good over evil.
Once you find one that you enjoy, you're probably going to want to watch more. If you do find yourself liking the genre, definitely look for some of the classic older titles. They can be worth putting aside your expectations regarding special effects.
Kung Fu movies, where really featuring Chinese martial arts or those from other countries, aren't like any other action movies. The only negative about them is that you may become addicted. If this is the case, however, at least there are a great many of them so you'll have a hard time running out of a new one to watch.
