Lower Providence Aikido

Lower Providence Aikido is located at 2506a West Main Street in Norristown PA, and is dedicated to the spread of traditional Aikido as taught by the founder Morihei Ueshiba. We are committed to creating a safe, energetic and informative, environment for the serious study of Aikido. Students learn at their own pace in a lively, supportive and friendly atmosphere. Both group and private classes are available, afternoons and evenings, 7 days a week.


About Us
Lower Providence Aikido was founded in 1995 by Sensei Jeff Bowden 4th Dan and is a member dojo of the AWA - Aikido World Alliance. In a short time, it has grown to over 50 active members. Our dedicated and experienced instructors work hard to maintain the highest of standards in the martial arts industry. In addition to learning self-defense, our personalized and professional instruction is proven to reduce stress, increase fitness, and enhance self-confidence. Lower Providence Aikido emphasizes modern, practical self-defense techniques, while maintaining a safe, positive and traditional learning environment.


Classes
Basic, Mixed, and Weapons classes are open to all students, beginner and advanced alike. Lower Providence Aikido members are encouraged to practice as much as possible and may attend as many classes in a day, week and month as desired.


Getting Started
Lower Providence Aikido has open enrollment. Beginning students can join at any time. It is recommended that prospective students watch at least one class before joining. When observing a class, please talk to members, ask questions, and get to know the dojo.
